KeyMaestro Input Device Driver

We are pleased to present you a high technology product - Voice Command Smart Keyboard.   The remarkable design of this keyboard provides the ability to work with PC simply by voice commands, and delivers the best accuracy and easier user interface features.

This voice recognition function of this keyboard is fully operated by the keyboard itself.  Through our voice, it can active the www, e-mail, close windows and other functions.  The microphone on the keyboard can be used also as regular PC microphones.  Besides, the operation will neither affect performance nor will it occupy CPU resource. The main structure comes with the microphone, 17 multimedia hot keys, which included 2 short cut keys and a voice key.

Install the KeyMaestro Input Device Driver first, you will find how wonderful this Voice Command Smart Keyboard is.

Installation

  1. Insert the CD labeled 'Voice Command Smart Keybaord Tool Kit' into your CD-ROM drive.
  2. Click the "Install Driver" and the setup will auto run.
  3. The driver is loaded when you see the driver icon  app.gif (143 bytes) show on the right-bottom taskbar.

Uninstallation

Please note that you have to uninstall the driver first, if you want to re-install the driver.

  1. Click the KeyMaestro driver icon app.gif (143 bytes) and select 'Exit' command to exit the driver program.
  2. Click 'Start' (on the left-bottom taskbar).
  3. Move cursor to 'Programs' in 'Start' menu.
  4. Move cursor again to 'KeyMaestro'.
  5. Select 'Uninstall KeyMaestro' uninst.GIF (1718 bytes) .
  6. Click 'Yes' to confirm you want to uninstall.

Multimedia Buttons

power.gif (2100 bytes) Shut down closes the operating system and powers down the system.

P.S. The 'Shut down' function is only for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 or Windows XP users.  

There are a row of multimedia keys on the top of keyboard. The functions are described as below.

Note: These keys are reprogrammable (except volume up, volume down and mute). They can be configured as a string, a combination key, a
website, an existing file, or a function the driver pre-defines for you. To reconfigure these keys, click the KeyMaestro icon on the taskbar to select
Configure Button command.

www.gif (2932 bytes) WWW launches to your Internet Browser application which should be pre-installed. If you have installed two browsers in your system, the system default one will be opened. Mostly the system default is the later installed one.
 email.gif (2605 bytes) E-mail opens your E-mail application. Same as WWW, this key is reprogrammable and can be treated as the Shortcut key also.
 computer.gif (2223 bytes) My Computer opens "My Computer".
 document.gif (2377 bytes) My Document opens "My Favorite folder" for you to select your favorite web site.
 caculator.gif (1802 bytes) Calculator opens the calculator application.
 printer.gif (2018 bytes) Print opens the printer application.
 short1.gif (2112 bytes) Shortcut 1 provides you to create an easy access to the documents and programs you use most often. The default setting for Shortcut button is to launch Windows accessory program 'Notepad'. If you want to change the setting, click the KeyMaestro icon on the taskbar and select Configuration command. For more details, please refer to the section Configure Button.
 short2.gif (2214 bytes) Shortcut 2 same as Shortcut 1.
 close.gif (2374 bytes) Close windows closes all the windows you opend.

Volume Control controls the volume of your audio output to the speakers.
  Mute mutes the sound output. Repress this button to resume.
  Stop stops the playing.
 3.gif (1975 bytes) Previous / Fast Backward skips backward to the previous file / track when pressing once quickly. If you press and hold the button, the file / track will play backward fast. Once the button is released, the file/track plays normally.
  Play/Pause presses this button to play Audio CD or Video CD, or to pause it.  When it is paused, you may press the button again to resume it from the current position.
 1.gif (1974 bytes) Next / Fast Forward skips forward to the next file / track when pressing once quickly. If you press and hold the button, the file/track will play forward fast. Once the button is released, the file/track plays normally.

Voice Command Setting

This Voice Command Smart Keyboard is equipped with sensitive voice recognition ability, and supports multi-languages. The voice recognition is proceeded by saying the name of the computer and setting 11 different Voice Commnds for execution.  One of the distinguishing features is that you may combine three simple ways to name the computer and set the voice commands as you like.

Once you have this keyboard, there's no need to purchase any Microphones.  Compare to other Voice Recognition softwares, it is with the features of easy operation and advanced recognition ability.  

By the way, if your PC  is with ACPI power management function would be best.  As you power off the PC,  there will still retain a little bit power in the keyboard that makes the voice commands you recorded will not be lost.  However, if you unplug or turn off the PC and then you will lose all the voice command records immediately.  At that time, you have to record the voice commands again.

Voice Command Setting

  1. Name Your Computer :
    You may name your computer in 3 different ways as below:

    Note:  If you press 'Shift' and 'Voice' keys again, and let go both of them , the voice command will return to the original status.  These alternatives allow you to change accordig to your own preference.

  2. Voice Commands Recording:

    Press and hold 'Voice' key and one hot key at the same time, and then release both of them.  As the indicator flashes and lights up, you can start recording your voice command (i.e. WWW).  After finishing the voice command recording, the 'Scroll Lock' indicator will extinguish. 

    The microphone indicator will flash and on, as you complete the voice command record successfully. Follow the procedure as step 1 to record the other voice commands.

  3. Shortcut Keys
    There are two 'Shortcut' keys
    short1.gif (2112 bytes)  short2.gif (2214 bytes) on the upper part of the keyboard, these two 'Shortcut' keys are especially designed to let you set your favorite Applications.  For example: Set 'Shortcut 1' as Word, and then record voice command for Word.  Please follow the steps as below:

    If you want to undo or reset the function, please follow the above process until pop up a 'Browse' dialogue window and then key in 'none'.

  4. Set Alphabets as 'Shortcut' key
    Recommend you  the other one voice command setting, which is using 'Voice' key and an Alphabet key to set shortcut keys.  For example: Set 'E' as Excel, and then record voice command for Excel.  Please follow the steps as below:

    If you want to remove the shortcut setting, please reopen the dialogue box and move the cursor on 'Shortcut Setup'.  Press 'Backspace' key, set 'Ctrl+Alt+E' to 'None', and  click 'OK' to complete the setup.

If you right-click the KeyMaestro icon app.gif (143 bytes) on the taskbar, a menu will pop up with the following commands.

Select this command to see the information of this KeyMaestro driver, including the version number and web site which you can update the driver.

Select this command to exit from this driver program, but not to remove (uninstall). After you restart your system, the driver will be loaded again.

If you really want to remove (uninstall) the driver, please refer to the Uninstallation section above.

In case you have some troubles on installing other programs, we recommend you to exit this multimedia driver firstly in order to have a cleaner system environment.
