- Restore the encrypted backup with a different password:
- Mobile device: − make a backup in a diferent folder then ResetApp and after restart enter the backup database Master Password. Then make a new restore backup.
- Desktop: Restore Backup − select backup file − make selections − OK − make a restart and after that enter the backup Master Password. Then make a new restore backup. Old encrypted database it was copied is in ..\PEM Manager\App_aux. If everything is OK, please delete database from ..\PEM Manager\App_aux, if not PEM Companion − rename database (remove data after _) and copy them in ..\PEM Manager\Databases. Encrypted database from ..\PEM Manager\App_aux must be done with PEM Companion.
FAQ
- Why doesn't a group of passwords get deleted? − All the pairs {site and username} need to be associated to another group or deleted and then the group is automatically erased.
- Can I change the group to which a password is associated? − Yes
- What happens if I do not change a password whose date is highlighted? − Nothing, the change is only a recommendation, not an obligation. Although we recomend the periodical change of your passwords.
- Why when I select the same element from a list nothing changes? − That's how the operating system works, you must select something different.
- Is the created password unique? − Yes, in the database the same pair {site, username} cannot exist twice.
- What happens with the Master and HighSecurity Password if somebody steals my device? − Nothing, these passwords are not kept on the device and the HighSecurity Password is asked for only when trying to obtain very important passwords. Therefore, this is the reason why the HighSecurity Password must be introduced twice (to check).
- Why must to change all passwords when master password change? If there is a suspicion about the master password then there are and on the other passwords

For the creation of passwords and encrypted important messages (passwords and financial data) an extra security feature must be introduced and this is the HighSecurity Password.
- What happens if I introduce the wrong confirmation password? − An other password is generated and nothing else.
- How do I set my phone so that some passwords can have priority? − Set a nickname for that record. Passwords with nickname are displayed in Fast Search.
- Can I change the site or username of an existing password? − No, a new password will be generated.
- What do I do with the passwords that I already have? − They should be replaced with new passwords using this application or until then they can be retained using encrypted messages (we recommend that your old passwords be replaced because this application generates strong passwords).
- If the application stops accidentally does sensible data become exposed? − No
- Why do some warning or confirmation windows don't appear? − Manager−Settings > Learning mode − uncheck and check again make a reset to this option.
