Season Stats Help The Seasons Stats software automatically calculates statistics for a collection of completed matches scored with the Laver & Woods Scorebook. This file contains a brief overview of how to use it.

Basics

1. Put all the completed scoresheets into a single folder.

2. Run SeasonStats.xlt and click ‘enable macros’ when prompted.

3. Select the ‘Change folder’ button on the ‘SeasonStats’ toolbar, and select the folder containing the completed scoresheets.

4. Select the ‘Update statistics’ button on the ‘SeasonStats’ toolbar. The updating of the statistics will take about 1 second per scoresheet stored in the folder.

Options

Select the ‘Options’ toolbar bar button to set the following options:

Team Initials - The initials of the team who’s statistics will be calculated.

Goal Runs – By default the scorebook keeps track of the number of 100’s and 50’s scored by the batsman. For matches where batsman must retire at 40, set goal runs to 40. The scorebook will then track the number of 40’s and 20’s scored by each batsman.

Goal Wickets – By default the scorebook keeps track of the number of innings in which bowlers take 5 or more wickets. Set goal wickets to 3 if you wish to keep track of the number of innings in which bowlers take 3 or more wickets.

Detailed View – When this is unchecked some of the columns in the batting statistics are hidden.

Notes

Enable Macros in Excel to run SeasonStats.

Laver & Wood Scorebook 1.1 users must first collects statistics from sheets created by using the 'Save compressed' file menu option.

Only complete innings will be used by SeasonStats. If a match is ends early due to bad weather, open the scorebook and select 'Other' -> 'End Innings' to end the match.
