1) What is DiggUpdate?

DiggUpdate 2.5.1 for Windows is the Windows port of a program originally written by Dustin Bachrach (http://www.dbachrach.com) of OpenSoft Development (http://www.dbachrach.com/opensoft/) for Mac OS X. DiggUpdate is the best way to track the latest stories that appear on http://www.digg.com (to know more about digg, visit http://www.digg.com/about). With DiggUpdate you can be quickly informed as a new story hits digg’s frontpage, get an overview of the latest digg’s stories and check which stories your friends dugg or submitted. DiggUpdate for Windows is a port of DiggUpdate to the Windows platform and performs almost identically to the Mac version.

DiggUpdate will try to connect to the Internet, and retrieve latest Digg’s stories. If the connection is ok, the first time you use the program a dialog box where you can choose the mode DiggUpdate will work appears. DiggUpdate can operate in four different modes:

4) How do I change the preferences?
